It wasn’t far into last nights game that Colorado fans realized it wasn’t a fair fight.
Beckett, Pedroia, Ramirez, Fenway, History and perhaps most of all the 8 days of rest were all working against the Rockies. And by the end of the first Sox fans were preparing for the devastating Colorado comeback that we’re all just trained to expect. But, then the second ends, the third, the four and by the fifth it was “Good night. See you tomorrow.”
Player for player Colorado doesn’t matchup, but it doesn’t mean they can’t win. It’s fun when the hometown team is in the World Series. It’s even more fun when you’re a fan for the other team and they roll to victory in Game 1, 13-1, setting all kinds of records along the way. Game two – tonight.
Taphouse, Smokehouse, Old Town Pub – pick your poison. Get there early for the good seats and if all goes well we’ll have this all rapped up in 4 games. Go Sox!
